About
I am a Christian, husband and father of two sons. I am almost certainly the most unique fundamentalist Christian, member of a Baptist Church, police officer and holder of conservative political views you will ever meet. I do not fit the stereotype for any of those labels. In fact, I dislike labels because they pre-suppose beliefs and positions.
I am a fundamentalist Christian, but I don’t believe we should have an amendment to the constitution which bans same-sex marriage. I do not believe legislating morality works. I also enjoy learning about various religions and their cultures, though I would never abandon my beliefs. I enjoy beer now and then too.
I belong to a Baptist Church, but I’m not a Baptist. I am a Christian. I would remain a Christian if I switched to another Church and my beliefs would remain the same. There is no perfect denominational Church upon this earth.
I am a police officer, but I would not object to the decriminalization of marijuana (not that I would use it were it legal).
While I am politically conservative, I believe in a great amount of personal liberty and freedom should exist in the United States. Politically I’m libertarian (small “l”, not a member of the Libertarian Party, which would be a capital “L”, although I agree with much of the Libertarian Party’s platform). I’m a Constitutionalist and consider that document to be the foundation and framework of our system of government, but it has been abused by our government through the years. I do not believe the constitution is a “living document” and should be held as something nearly sacred. The only amendment I support being added to it is to make abortion forever illegal in this nation. Abortion is genocide. Other than that we should start following the constitution and stop adding to it, or wresting its words to suit agendas.
